Glamour Awards 2012

Last night was the Glamour Awards in London, which always proves to be one of my favourite UK fashion events of the year. Glamour is one of the best womens fashion and lifestyle magazine on the market at the moment therefore they always tend to get good celebs dolled up to the nines at their annual awards show. Special mention must go to Paloma Faith in the embellished tassled Silvia Tattoo Gown by Temperley London accompanied with Erickson Beamon earrings. One of my fashion icons - I love everything this lady wears. Silver is a key trend this year, and even better if you mix your metallics infusing a bit of gold in there and heck, throw in some tassels for good measure...

However my ultimate FAVOURITE thing at the awards was X Factor winners Little Mix in Scottish designer Hayley Scanlan's designs. Having worked with and promoted Hayley over the years, I have loved her work since she graduated from Dundee art school Duncan of Jordanstone and as you can see from previous posts, really back her as potentially the next Holly Fulton.

The way in which she has diffused the main Hayley Scanlan line into an already successful sister label (whilst having newborn twins might I add) is really credible, and shows the sheer determination and talent this Scots designer has. Little Mix's Jesy and Leigh-ann are perfect models for this collection and no doubt we will see high street-alikes this summer....
